In July, Sen. Jim DeMint was quoted as saying that if Republicans were able to stop health care reform it would "break" President Barack Obama. "If we're able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him," said DeMint. DeMint is now denying that his intention was to break the president.
